Some random pics from month 6

Sleepy baby

Ezra started daycare in mid-April, and as expected, he finally got his first bad cold. It was rough -- us newbie parents took him to the after hours clinic at the hospital on a Saturday because we thought he must have had an ear infection or something, but it was just a cold. We held and rocked our little guy a lot to help him sleep through the sniffles. I have to admit, I kind of liked sitting with him in the rocker and letting him sleep in my arms. One little upside of the cold, I guess -- the snuggling. Other than that, Ez has adjusted really nicely to daycare. He loves his new teachers, who are very sweet and kind and give him lots of love all day long.

Carrot face

Ezra's been eating very mushy solid foods for about a month now, but we had a big breakthrough this week! As you will notice, while his mouth is a mess, his bib is actually pretty clean. He's actually been swallowing most of the food we've been shoveling in there! I think he's finally figured out that he can't stick his tongue out while eating, which I guess causes some confusion because it's the opposite of what babies do while nursing. Now that he's gotten the mechanics down, he's actually eaten a whole jar of food at a time -- a big improvement! Go Ez!
