38 weeks pregnant!
Ezra in his Phillies Phanatic hat and Noah in his Redsox hat at the farm in the local park. We've been spending time at the park going to the farm, riding the steam train, and taking tricycle rides on the paved trails. We also saw some ducks and turtles in the pond there this weekend._____
We've been having a great few months, and Ezra is getting ready to become a big brother. Little Banjo as we've been calling him while he's in the womb is getting ready to make his appearance in the world (due date is June 10). Ezra's been talking about how he's going to sing to Banjo and show him his toys and help take care of him. We're all very excited to meet him! Meanwhile, Ezra's been enjoying many of life's "beeyutiful" things lately. He's still into his favorite Talking Heads Songs (Burning Down the House and Life During Wartime) and now one of his new favorite Beatles hits is Why Don't We Do it In the Road (or, according to Ezra "How we do it in the Road."). I swear, I don't pick them for him. We're hoping it's a while before he knows what "it" is. He's also quite fond of "Doe a Dear" and Ringo's song "Don't Pass Me By." Because his favorite movie theater movie (we took him for the first time to the theater a few months ago) is "Rango," he had some initial confusion and thought that the song was written by an animated lizard. But we've cleared that up now.
We've had a few fun family adventures in the last couple of months. In April, we took a family trip to San Diego, and we played in the ocean w/ our friends and went to Legoland and the zoo. Ezra especially enjoyed playing with our friend Erica and some of our other friends' kids (pics to follow in separate blog post). Bobbie Susie and John (Ez says John's name with a British accent for some reason) came for a visit in April and we all had a lovely Passover seder together and also enjoyed some fun games of t-ball. In May, we stayed up in Sonoma with Monica, Dan and "Baby Clive" who is no longer a baby! Ezra, mom, and dad had great fun at Traintown and rode the train, carousel, ferris wheel, and Noah took Ezra on his first roller coaster ride! (For those who understand Rach's love of roller coasters, you will appreciate the great and sad irony that no pregnant ladies were allowed for Ez's first ride.)
